We are currently looking for people to participate in the studies below:

 Shingles:

If you or someone you knows has herpes zoster (also called shingles), you may be eligible to participate in a clinical research study.  The study is being conducted with an investigational drug called FV-100 for the treatment of herpes zoster as compared to the commonly used drug, valacyclovir.

“Investigational” means the study drug being tested has not been approved by the Unites States Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Shingles is caused by the varicella zoster virus, the same virus that causes chicken pox.  Shingles is an infection of the nerve roots that can cause pain and often a rash on one side of the body, the left or right.  The rash appears in a band, a strip, or a small area.  Shingles is most common in older adults and people who have weak immune systems because of stress, injury, certain medicines, or other reasons.

Study participants will receive the investigational study cream, and all study related testing and examinations at no cost.  Compensation for time and travel may be available.
